"As Time Goes By" is a song written by Herman Hupfeld for the 1931 Broadway musical Everybody's Welcome. Frances Williams sang the song in the original show.
It was recorded by several artists in 1931 including Rudy Vallee. The song was re-introduced in 1942 in the film Casablanca in which it was sung by Dooley Wilson. Wilson never released a single of the song because of a musicians' strike at the time of the film's release. A re-issue of Rudy Vallee's 1931 recording became a major seller in that year.

In dem Interview mit Midnight To Six sagt George Perez: I’d say me and Jack (Greenwood) share a role I guess. Rhythm sections can really make a band and I think we’re pretty locked in. I suppose our role is to do the band and its past members justice, as well as adding something. Punters and reviewers seem to think the band is in the best shape that it has been in many years. I’m not saying that its down to the line-up change, but I’m thrilled to be a part of it.
... und da kann man ihm nur zustimmen: Das ist unglaublich, welchen Druck die junge rhythm section macht, so dass die alten Klassiker den Druck haben, den sie damals hatten - und den sie zuletzt mit Skip Allen und Wally Waller zuweilen nicht mehr hatten und eher Oldies waren, was jetzt - so Rosa B. Anyway, das war faszinierend, wie hier drei alte und zwei junge Männer - alle 5 auf der Bühne faszinierende Typen: vom 70- jährigen Dick Taylor, der zur Ur-Besetzung der Rolling Stones gehörte, und dem nun wirklich charismatischen Sänger Phil May zum Ausnahme-Drummer Jack Greenwood. Rosa B. hätte David Perez, der wirklich unglaubliche Bass-Lines spielt, gern für ihre eigene Band mitgenommen ... (und der sehr hübsch frisurenmäßig an den ersten PT-Bassisten John Stax erinnert) - Songs aus 50 Jahren Bandgeschichte ablieferten, als seien die alle von heute ...
Terrific drum solo from 22-year-old Jack Greenwood. Nice to see the lads then launch into a cover of Craig McLachlan's 'Mona'... - das ist zwar aus Melbourne vom 14.12.12, - aber genauso phantastisch war Greenwood am letzten Freitag auch!!.
